Connected was founded by Peter Schulz and Craig Middlemiss, who possess a combined 27 years of experience delivering community engagement and wellbeing initiatives in Sydney Olympic Park.
Peter had the privilege of managing the Lifestyle membership program at Sydney Olympic Park since 2008, with Craig joining the team in 2011 and delivering high quality member benefits and experiences for more than a decade.
Peter and Craig are passionate about connecting the greater community with all the amazing experiences that Sydney Olympic Park has to offer, and bringing people together.

Connected Membership Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance
Welcome to Connected! Connected membership program (‘Program’) is operated by Membership and Marketing Solutions Pty Ltd ABN 53 665 247 361 that provides membership benefits ('Benefits’) including free and discounted event tickets, retail discounts and offers, and access to free and subsidised activities and programs. By registering as a Connected member, using the Connected website www.iamconnected.com.au (‘Website’), downloading the Connected mobile application (‘App’) or otherwise redeeming Benefits, you:
agree that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions (‘Terms’), including our Privacy Policy, which is available at www.iamconnected.com.au and are bound by them as if you have signed these Terms.
consent to us sending you emails from time to time giving details of Benefits or the Program (unless you opt out under Clause 7
acknowledge our acceptance of your offer to become a Member (and where applicable your Eligible Employer, Education Facility or Rental Provider endorsing and/or sponsoring and/or subsidising your application for Membership)
You agree and understand that we reserve the right to vary these Terms at any time without prior notice to you. Where Connected varies these Terms, an updated copy will be available on our Website. The revised Terms will take effect when they are posted on our Website. Members should check regularly for updates to these Terms.
2. Defined terms
App: The Connected App, which is available for download via App Store or Google Play
Benefit: a benefit under the Program available or provided to or redeemed by a Member from a Service Provider, which may include discounts, special promotions and other offers of a range of goods and services
Education Facility: refer to clause 3
Eligible Employer: refer to clause 3
Eligible Person: refer to clause 3
Member: an Eligible Person who becomes a member of the Program
Membership Fee: fee for your Membership, as determined and reviewed by us from time to time and published on our Website
Membership ID: the digital Member ID assigned to you, which is available to you when the Connected App is downloaded. Refer to the Website for information on how to download and use the App
Offer: an offer of a Benefit to me
Program: our member benefits program known as Connected and available to Eligible Persons
Rental provider: An organisation providing residential accommodation or commercial property that is leased or rented to a person or entity
Service Provider: a person or organisation, including Connected, that has agreed to offer certain goods, services or other benefits to Members under the Program
Terms: These terms and conditions of the Program which is an Agreement between you and us.

3. Eligibility
Membership is open to employees, residents and students of the greater Sydney Olympic Park area, the suburbs of which are included in the Membership application form and may change without notice. Membership is open to the following Eligible Persons:
Employees of a person or organisation conducting business in the suburbs included in the Membership application form, and any other person or organisation that we accept as an Eligible Employer
Students or employees of a person or organisation conducting a formal course or program at an education, vocational or training facility located in the suburbs included in the Membership application form (Education Facility), and any other person or organisation that we accept as an Education Facility
A resident of a suburb included in the Membership application form
Any other person that we accept as eligible for Membership (Eligible Persons)
At our sole discretion, we may refuse to allow any person to register or create a Membership.
4. Membership Term & Fees
To the extent permitted by law, the Membership Fee is non-refundable once paid.
The Connected membership term is fixed and concludes on 30 June each year, irrespective of the date that you join the Program. The quoted Membership Fee on the Website at the time of becoming a Member is for the fixed membership term ending 30 June in the current or next year, whichever comes first, unless otherwise specified.
The Membership Fee is quoted in Australian Dollars and includes GST unless specified.
You (or your Eligible Employer, Education Facility or Rental Provider, where applicable) agree to pay us the Membership Fee on the date and in the manner advised by us and without set off or deduction to benefit from the Program or its Benefits.
5. Membership confirmation
If your membership application has been accepted, we will send you an email with an account activation notification to the email address provided by you (or your Eligible Employer, Education Facility or Rental Provider if applicable).
You are required to create a unique password when joining or activating your Membership, which will be used to log into the Website and the App. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your password and can make a password change request on the Website. Connected takes no responsibility for any loss arising from unauthorised use of a Member’s password or a Member’s failure to comply with these provisions.
6. Service Providers
Under the Program, Service Providers have agreed to provide Benefits to Members of the Program, subject to the terms of each Benefit. We (or your Eligible Employer, Education Facility or Rental Provider, where applicable) will not provide or be required to provide Benefits to Members, unless also acting as a Service Provider from time to time in relation to a particular Benefit.
All Connected Benefits, as well as the Service Providers who provide Benefits for the Program, are subject to availability and are subject to change or withdrawal without notice. We take no responsibility for any products, services or promotions that are discontinued, sold out, revoked or temporarily unavailable.
Under the Program, we arrange for Service Providers to offer Benefits to Members. Except where we provide the relevant Benefit, Service Providers are not our agents and have no authority, express or implied, to bind us or to make any representations, warranties or statements on our behalf; and we are not a party to any transactions entered into between a Member and a Service Provider and are not responsible for any such transactions.
We are not liable in any way if you do not notify a Service Provider that you are seeking a Benefit relating to an Offer; a Service Provider does not make a Benefit under an Offer available for any reason; a Service Provider fails to comply with the terms of any transaction entered into with you; or the Program is suspended or terminated.
You are responsible for any liability relating to the payment of tax, including GST, which arises from your participation in the Program by your purchase or receipt of any goods or services from a Service Provider.
We will take reasonable care to ensure that information we publish in relation to the Program is accurate, however we do not accept any responsibility or liability for the information on the Website provided by third parties including Service Providers, or any information either provided by the Service Provider to you, or that is otherwise made available to you from the Service Provider resulting from your endeavours to gain information, redeem a Benefit or otherwise interact with a Service Provider.
7. Communication of Offers and Benefits
We will provide details of Benefits by email to you and as published on our Website and in other correspondence and advice of Offers issued by us or by our Service Providers from time to time. If at any time you no longer wish to receive special promotions from us, you may opt-out by contacting us using the contact details on our Website or by other means provided in member communications.
8. Claiming a Benefit
The Offer will indicate how you may claim a Benefit, including redemption via the App by presenting your Membership ID, providing your Membership details in a web based transaction or telephone booking, providing other identification, or signing a separate agreement with a Service Provider.
All Benefits are subject to availability and other terms and conditions which may be imposed by Service Providers. These may be communicated by us on behalf of the Service Provider as detailed in Clause 7, by the Service Provider or by other means.
Unless otherwise stated, no Benefit may be used in conjunction with any other Offer.
The Benefits are available to Members only and cannot be sold, transferred, assigned or otherwise dealt with, unless otherwise stated by us or the relevant Service Provider.
9. Member Conduct and Obligations
You are responsible for the use of the Website, App and Membership ID, and any breach of these Terms. You must not:
Do, or attempt to do, anything that is unlawful
abuse or misuse the Program, any benefits, facilities, services or arrangements you receive under the Program;
act in any way which is likely to be detrimental to the interests of us, Service Providers or the Program;
supply or attempt to supply any false or misleading information, or make any misrepresentation to us;
sell, assign, transfer or acquire, or offer to sell, assign, transfer or acquire any Program benefit other than in accordance with these Terms
tamper with or modify our Website or App, knowingly transmitting viruses or other disabling features, or damaging or interfering with our Website or App, including using trojan horses, viruses or piracy or programming routines that may damage or interfere with our Website or App
use our Program, Website, App or Membership ID in any way that competes with Connected and its business. If you breach this term, we will hold you responsible for Liability we suffer, and hold you accountable for any profits that you may make from non-permitted use.
act in any way which, in our reasonable opinion, breaches or is likely to breach these Terms or is inconsistent with the intent of these Terms; or
Facilitate or assist a third party to do any of the above acts
Furthermore, you are responsible for keeping your Membership details confidential and you will be liable for all activity on your Membership, including payments, whether or not these were authorised by you, made using your Membership ID and account. You will immediately notify us of any unauthorised use of your Membership ID or account or may be liable for any damage or loss suffered.
10. Privacy
By using your Membership ID in conjunction with the Program, or otherwise participating in the program or claiming an Offer or Benefit, you consent to:
Us and the Service Provider collecting information relating to your transaction(s) and, where applicable, transferring it to us;

Our use of such information from the Service Provider, or other information we collect as part of the Program. That information collected may include:
Your Membership number, the date and time of your transaction and details of Benefits, member surveys, and other information relating to the transaction (‘Transaction Information’); and
all or part of any photographs, video and audio footage, words, images, quotes or other comments which identify you and any other personal information about you collected in connection with the Program or Benefits (Material) for which you waive the right to receive payment in relation to the Material and agree that we may edit the Material in our absolute discretion;

Us using the Transaction Information and Material for the purpose of:
administering the Program, tracking your use of the Program and providing a range of Benefits relating to the Program; and
providing communications and marketing (including, where applicable, to Eligible Employer, Education Facility or Rental Provider) for the Program and Connected;
Service Providers collecting Benefit redemption data, who are required to only use the Transaction Information for the purposes of the Program and will not have access to your name and address unless you agree to provide it to them. We take no responsibility for any information you may give to any Service Provider. We are in no way responsible or liable for the acts or omissions of the Service Providers. You should refer to the privacy policies of Service Providers for information on how they handle your personal information. Where any of the above information comprises Personal Information under the Privacy Act 1988, it will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may use contractors, agents and suppliers to assist us in servicing Members or to aggregate statistics regarding our Transaction Information, Member redemption, and usage of Offers and Benefits. These parties may require access to some of your personal or confidential information. In such cases we require these parties to maintain confidentiality and not misuse information. In certain circumstances, we may disclose your personal information to third parties located, or who store data, outside Australia; and
For a Member whose Eligible Employer, Education Facility or Rental Provider is responsible for payment of membership fees in full or part, the Member consents to the sharing of information between us and the Member’s Eligible Employer, Education Facility or Rental Provider as deemed necessary in order to deliver the membership program and report on membership at our absolute discretion.
The full privacy policy can be viewed on the Website. We may revise the privacy policy at any time. Updates to our privacy policy will be posted, from time to time, on the Website. If at any time you disagree with or do not consent to the terms of the Privacy Policy, you must immediately cease using the Website, App, Membership ID and any Benefits of the Program.
11. Termination
We may terminate your Membership, cancel your Membership ID, restrict or discontinue your use of the Website or App, and refuse to honour any unused Benefits at any time
if you are in material breach of these Terms or any applicable laws;
if you cease to be an Eligible Person;
if you do not comply with the conditions of any product or service offered by a Service Provider or for the Program;
if your Membership Fee remains unpaid for more than 14 days after written demand for payment has been served on you or, where applicable, your Eligible Employer, Education Facility or Rental Provider;
if the Program is suspended or terminated;
for any other reason at our sole discretion.
12. Warranties and indemnities
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
We, our contractors agents and employees (and where applicable your Eligible Employer, Education Facility or Rental Provider) (‘Indemnified’) make no representations or warranties, whether express or implied and whether arising under legislation or otherwise, as to the availability, accessibility, quality, accuracy, reliability, completeness, currency or timeliness, condition, suitability, fitness or safety of the Benefits or the Program, any communications provided on or via the use of your Website or promotional material, or any event outside of our reasonable control;

You release and indemnify the Indemnified and hold us harmless from each and every cost, expense, liability, obligation, claim, suit, action, demand, loss, and all damages (Liability) for any direct or indirect or consequential loss, damage, injury or death, whether arising from negligence or otherwise, incurred by:
your (or other party authorised by you) use of or conduct in the Program;
your breach of these Terms or other legal obligation in relation to your Membership and the Program;
termination of your Membership under the Termination clause that forms part of these Terms;
use of or reliance on any Benefits provided by the Service Providers in the Program, except to the extent that such Liability was caused by us.
If any law prohibits the exclusion of such Liability, the Liability to the Indemnified is limited, to the maximum extent possible, to the resupply of the relevant Benefit or paying for the relevant Benefit to be resupplied.
This indemnity is a continuing obligation, independent from the other obligations under these Terms, and continues after these Terms end.
13. Complaints and Disputes
You may lodge a complaint about:
a Benefit offered by a Service Provider, by contacting the relevant Service Provider;
the Program, by contacting us via the contact details on the Website.
Disputes in relation to these Terms or regarding eligibility to participate in the Program will be resolved by us at our absolute discretion.
14. Waiver
Your failure to exercise or enforce any one or more of your rights under these Terms will not constitute a waiver of such rights unless such waiver is granted by us in writing.
15. Severance
The provisions of these Terms are severable and any clause, provision or part of these Terms, which is wholly or partially void, invalid, illegal or unenforceable, is severed from these Terms without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder of that clause, provision or part, or other clauses, provisions or parts of these Terms.
16. Whole agreement
Upon accepting Membership or otherwise becoming a Member, these Terms represent the current agreement between you and us.
17. Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. We and you irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and waive any right to object to proceedings being brought in those courts.
18. Taxes
Any tax liabilities you may incur as a result of redeeming Benefits are solely your liability.

1. Introduction
Membership & Marketing Solutions Pty Ltd t/as Connected Membership and its related companies (collectively referred to as "Connected", "us" or "we") respect the privacy and security of your Personal Information, as defined below, and comply with the requirements of the Australian Privacy Principles ("APP") under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) ("the Act").
This Privacy Policy explains in general terms how Connected handles your Personal Information. However, it does not apply to Connected Membership employee records to the extent they are handled by any of our companies that is or was the employer of that employee in relation to the employee's current or former employment. Such employee records are generally exempt from the Act and will be dealt with as permitted by law.
By visiting our website, using any of our services or otherwise providing us with your Personal Information (or authorising it to be provided to us by someone else), you agree to your Personal Information being collected and handled as set out in this Privacy Policy. If you do not provide us with the Personal Information we have requested, we may not be able to complete or fulfil the purpose for which we collect the information, including providing our services.
2. What personal information do we collect and hold?
The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) defines ‘personal information’ as meaning information or an opinion about an identified individual or an individual who is reasonably identifiable:
whether the information or opinion is true or not; and
whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not.
If the information does not disclose your identity or enable your identity to be ascertained, it will in most cases not be classified as “personal information” and will not be subject to this privacy policy.
The types of Personal Information we collect and hold will depend on the circumstances of collection and on the type of service we are providing.

your membership number, the date and time of transactions with a Connected service provider that provides membership offers or benefits, and other information relating to the transaction
The above is not an exhaustive list of types of personal information collected by Connected.
Where an eligible business, educational facility or rental provider pays for its employees, students or tenants to become members of Connected, the entity will need to provide Connected with sufficient personal information on behalf of these individuals for the purpose of membership registration and membership account set-up. The employee, student or tenant (respectively) is required to create a password and activate their membership account in order to log in to the Connected website.
3. How we collect personal information
We may collect Personal Information either directly from you, or from third parties. We may collect this information when you deal with us over the telephone, send us correspondence (whether by letter or email), have contact with us in person, visit our websites or complete hard copy or online forms.
Examples of when or where Connected may collect personal information are:
completion of membership application forms. The minimum information we require to become a Registered Member includes: ‘First Name’, ‘Last name’, ‘email address’, contact number and 'employment/residential/student details including address and suburb'. Members will also need to establish their own password during the registration process. All other registration questions are voluntary.
through visitation to our website
when making a booking or enquiry either online, on phone or in person
entry into competitions
utilising the membership app or any other method, including third party processes for the provision or access to any member benefit
providing feedback on the benefits of Connected membership
The above is not an exhaustive list of when or where Connected may collect personal information.
Regardless of how it is collected, we handle Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
4. Why we collect, hold and use personal information
We generally collect, hold and use your Personal Information for the purposes for which it is provided to us (which will usually be obvious at the time of collection), related purposes or as permitted or required by law. Such purposes may include:.
providing you with promotional and marketing information, newsletters, event invitations and/or other information relating to our range of member benefits which we think may be of interest to you; and
administration of our business, such as to provide you access to a specific promotion or service;
responding to member enquiries, communicating with you from time to time and to keep you updated on the services you have requested;
complying with the applicable legal or regulatory requirements and/or orders of competent authorities;
any other purpose identified at the time of collecting your Personal Information.
We generally use information automatically collected by cookies and other tracking technology to identify you as a valid user and help us serve you better based on your registration preferences.
We may also use cookies to help us facilitate any promotions or surveys that we provide. We may also use cookies to enable us to collect data that may include Personal Information. For example, where a cookie is linked to your account, it may be considered Personal Information under the Act.
We will handle any Personal Information collected by cookies in the same way that we handle all other Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Third parties whose products or services are accessible on our websites may also use cookies, and we advise you to check their privacy policies for information about their cookies and other privacy practices.
5. Collecting personal information from third parties
We may also collect your personal information from third parties or through publicly available sources, for example from third party entities that facilitate the redemption of Offers or Benefits including event tickets for our members. We collect your personal information from these third parties to attribute to your membership profile and acquire a better understanding of our customer to attract better and improved services for our members from other partners.
6. Sharing of personal information
We will not make your personal information available to any third party, unless:
You consent to the release of the personal information;
We believe it is necessary in order to facilitate a service or activity you have requested or chosen to undertake;
required when we use contractors, agents and suppliers to assist us in servicing members;
to protect the rights or property of Connected, any Customer or any member of the public;
to lessen or prevent a serious and imminent threat to the life, health or safety of the individual or another person; or
it is required or otherwise permitted by law
In addition to the above, members, whose employer, educational facility or rental provider is responsible for payment of membership fees in full or part, consents to the sharing of information between Connected and the Member’s employer, educational facility or rental provider as deemed necessary in order to deliver the membership program and report on membership at our absolute discretion.
Whilst your personal information is protected as outlined above, at times, we may share anonymous de-identified data or information with our advertisers, sponsors and partners, or when using contractors, agents and suppliers to assist us in servicing Members or to aggregate statistics regarding our Transaction Information, Member redemption, and usage of Offers and Benefits.
7. Sharing of personal information outside Australia
Your personal information will not be disclosed to recipients outside Australia unless you expressly request us to do so or if required when we use contractors, agents and suppliers to assist us in servicing members. If you request us to transfer your personal information to an overseas recipient, the overseas recipient will not be required to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles, and we will not be liable for any mishandling of your information in such circumstances.
8. Security of personal information
We have implemented various measures to protect your data from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. These security measures include the implementation of IT security protocols such as password protection, firewalls, and continuous site monitoring. Furthermore, your Personal Information is stored on a secure server.
While we take every reasonable effort to ensure the security of your data, it is essential to understand that no data protection measures can ever be entirely infallible. Despite our best efforts, we cannot provide an absolute guarantee of the security of your Personal Information. As such, you play a crucial role in safeguarding your data. Please take appropriate precautions to protect your Personal Information, such as keeping your usernames and passwords secure. You should notify us if you become aware of any security breaches.
9. Direct marketing
When you register as a member on our websites, you will be given a choice as to whether you want to receive e-mail messages from us, including newsletters, announcements and e-mail communications about our latest news, products or services. To the extent the relevant local law requires us to seek your consent, we will only send such messages to you if you opt-in unless the information is required for fulfilling an existing service obligation to you.
If you do not wish to receive direct marketing materials, you may use the unsubscribe facility in the marketing communication or within the ‘my profile’ section of our website, or contact us. Further, as a registered member with us, you can modify your choice at any time via the same. Members will also stop receiving communications directly from Connected upon deactivation of their membership.
10. Privacy on our website
Our website may contain links to or information regarding the websites of other entities. If you click on such links, you will be transferred to the websites of these entities. We have no control over, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of these entities. You should read the privacy policy of these entities to find out how they handle your Personal Information when you visit their websites or otherwise engage with these other entities.
11. Accessing or correcting your personal information
You can access the Personal Information we hold about you by contacting us using the information below. Sometimes, we may not be able to provide you with access to all of your Personal Information and, where this is the case, we will tell you why. We may also need to verify your identity when you request your Personal Information.
If you think that any Personal Information we hold about you is inaccurate, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to ensure that it is corrected.
12. What if you have a complaint?
If you wish to make a complaint about a breach of this Privacy Policy or the APPs under the Act you can contact us using the contact details below. Please include your name, email address and/or telephone number and provide sufficient details regarding your complaint together with any supporting evidence.
We will investigate the issue and determine the steps that we will undertake to resolve your complaint. We will contact you if we require any additional information from you and will notify you in writing of the outcome of the investigation.

Connected Membership may update this Privacy Policy from time to time so please review it periodically for changes.
Your continued use of our websites, App, Membership ID and any benefits or services of the program, requesting our assistance or the provision of further Personal Information to us (directly or via an authorised person) after this Privacy Policy has been revised, indicates your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
